We are excited to welcome our Wildcat Fans for home softball & football games this week! Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
> Only service animals are permitted inside the facility/on District property.
> Due to the increased number of unsupervised students, all students attending the game are expected to sit & watch the game. Any students found running around will be asked to sit with their parents. (No football games/Pitch & Catch/Tag/etc.) Failure to comply may result the student being asked to leave and possible disciplinary action.

This is the last week for our PTO fundraiser. All money and orders are due on Monday, September 23. Thank you to those that have supported our students in any way!

Kindergarteners explored new options for STEM Station rotations in the library.

Thursday's Varsity Softball game vs. Norborne/Hardin-Central @Norborne will start at 5:30. Bus will leave at 3:30. Go, Lady Cats!

The SHS Ag Science I class hosted guest speaker, Ms. Bonita Butner on Friday, who spoke about the Dalton Vocational School. Her late mother, Ida was a student at the school alongside others in the Slater and Gilliam area. Dalton VS was one of 4 schools in the state to once have a New Farmers of America Chapter. NFA was established in 1935 for African American youth to promote agricultural leadership and citizenship, merging with FFA in 1965. A big thank you goes out to Ms. Butner for her annual visit during the FFA History unit!

Residents of the school district wishing to apply for the vacant position, please send a letter of interest stating qualifications and reason for wishing to be a Board Member to Dr. Terry Lorenz, Superintendent of Schools, by September 16, 2024 by 3:00 pm.
