Students in Life Skills made up a batch of Rice Crispy Treats and performed other working skills along the way.

NHS hosted their Annual Trick or Treating for the Food Pantry last week and were able to deliver the collected donations this morning. Thank you to the patrons of Slater who participated in this project!

This month's HS Life Academy was everything Automotive! Students learned about the licensing/sales tax process with the Marshall License Bureau, took a sample Missouri written driving test as a class competition, worked hands on to jumpstart a vehicle, check the oil and change a tire with SHS students attending the SCCC Auto Mech class, and spoke with Debbie Reed from Joe Machens Nissan about smart car purchases. (Physical Driver's Ed session to come later in the year!)

In light of the recent government shutdown and loss of SNAP and WIC assistance Slater Schools would like to hold a food drive to help benefit our community. November 3-7 we will be collecting non-perishable food items to donate to the local food pantry and the area drop boxes. Items can be dropped off at either office.
