A big THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered, supported and gave blood during today's NHS Blood Drive!! This was Slater's first drive in 5 years and brought around 30 units saving almost 90 lives alongside Community Blood Center!

With the weather conditions in the upcoming forecast (snow, wind, extremely cold temperatures), the Building Principals have asked teachers to prepare Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) lessons for students to complete in core content areas (English, Math, Science, Social Studies) if school is not in session and the District utilizes an AMI day.
AMI assignments for K-8 students will be paper packets, while HS assignments will be a mix of online and paper assignments.
If school is not in session, the nature of the day (Snow Day = no assignments / AMI = complete AMI assignments) will be indicated in the alert.
The following list of radio and television stations will be notified and will announce school closings: KMMO - 102.9 FM; KMMO - 1300 FM; KRES - 104.7 FM; KMZU - 100.7 FM; Thrillshare; Marshall Democrat News Website; District Social Media & Website.

It was National 4th Grader Day today and boy did we celebrate 🎉! The kiddos were crowned, participated in groups of 4 activities, had a dance party, then finished the day with cupcakes 🧁! It was a great day to be a 4th Grader 🎉
The 2024-25 FAFSA is OPEN! Mark your calendars for FAFSA Frenzy on Wednesday, January 17 from 6:00 to 7:30 outside of the Library.
SCCC students, you will not report to SCCC tomorrow. Mr. Wilcoxon said students have been communicated with regarding AMI work to be turned in when they return and they can reach out to their instructors via email if they need anything.

Tutoring will start this Tuesday, January 9. Letters were sent home on Friday. Tutoring will only be 2 days this session, Tuesday for math and Wednesday for reading. It will run from 3:15-4:15. Please return the pink form to your child's teacher as soon as possible.
