Preschool and Kindergarten parents, you may have noticed a plastic bag with a popcorn sack printed on it in your child's backpack. This is their library book bag. Please send this bag with their book each week for checkout.

The Slater Board of Education is giving notice of Board Member vacancy. Residents of the school district wishing to apply for the vacant position, please send a letter of interest stating qualifications and reason for wishing to be a Board Member to Dr. Terry Lorenz, Superintendent of Schools, by September 16, 2024 by 3:00 pm. Send letter of interest to: Slater School District, 515 N Elm, Slater, MO 65349.
The following are eligible to hold office in accordance with Missouri law: citizen of the United States of America. Resident taxpayer of the Slater School District. Resided in Missouri for a minimum of one year immediately preceding my election. At least 24 years of age. Not delinquent in the payment of any state income taxes and/or personal property taxes. Not been found guilty of nor have I pled guilty to a felony under the federal laws of the United States of America. Not registered or required to be registered as a sex offender pursuant to Missouri law.

5th Grade Band Parents! A letter has been sent home about instrument try out night! If your child is wanting to participate in band, I hope to see them on their designated instrument try out night! If these dates do not work please contact me at hbailey@slaterschools.net

Kindergarten "Meet the Teacher Night" was a success! Students learned who their teacher is for the school year and signed a letter of intent to be an outstanding citizen as a Slater Wildcat!💜💛

Seventh Grade ELA students ventured outside today to create Notice & Note Review posters.





Missouri has been approved to administer Summer EBT 2024. This program is a dedication and commitment between the lead agency, the Department of Social Services (DSS), along with DESE. Summer EBT provides Missouri children who are eligible for free and reduced-price school meals the opportunity to receive critical nutrition benefits. Households who need to apply can submit the application online by August 31, 2024. Families can use the Missouri SuN Bucks Eligibility Navigator to see if they need to complete an application.
