We have another busy week ahead with field trips, several home sporting events and District softball kicking off. I hope you can come out and support our student athletes. Some of the High School Art Students worked on and set up a backdrop for Homecoming! They had fun doing the splatter and it turned out fun! Great job!
Thanks to a generous donation from Sandy Hisle and Tower Realty, new books are arriving for the library!
The HS Homecoming dance will begin at 10:30 and conclude at 12:30. Students, enter through the Circle Drive Library entrance.
Juniors-Homecoming shirts are in!! Please pick your orders up at the concession stand window after school today.
Junior Class students who still need points...bring a bag of candy to be thrown at the parade. For each bag brought in to Mrs. Meyer, before Friday, receive a half point per bag. Make sure Mrs. Meyer signs you off for your bags brought in.

JUNIOR Class, this is a VERY busy week!!! Here is a reminder that the only night we have left to finish the Homecoming float is this Thursday, after the home softball game. Be there around 6:30, & work until it is finished. Plan on being there to help your class!
CALLING LOCAL BUSINESSES...! The Slater School Wellness Committee is looking for raffle prizes for their District Wide Wellness Walk on 10/20. Our students take part in a variety of wellness based activities to be eligible for a prize - let's make it the best selection yet! Each donating business/individual will be listed on the sponsorship banner throughout the day. Thank you for your support!
Start collecting your change!! The Annual Change Challenge begins October 9th. The class that brings in the most change will enjoy a snow cone party in the library. All funds collect are used to purchase books and consumable supplies for the library.
We have officially kicked off the Slater Music Department fundraiser! Look for the blue and white briefcase boxes to get your chocolate from our students. Thank you for the generous support we have already received, it makes us proud to be Wildcats!

Homecoming week starts tomorrow! Your Student Council has done a PHENOMENAL job preparing for this week. Now it's up to you to make it AWESOME!

Don't forget the Pumpkin Character Contest. Pumpkins are due in the library by October 13th. Winners will receive gift certificates to the Book Fair during parent teacher conferences.
Reminder: Students in 5th-12th grade band and/or choir will be picking up their chocolate for our fundraiser tomorrow. Students must have their fundraiser slips turned in to Mr. Meyer before they will be assigned a box. If parents/guardians opted to pick up the chocolate for their students please come at 3:15 in the circle drive by the high school. Ms. Bailey and Mr. Meyer will be passing out boxes from the concession stand in the high school hallway.
Last Call for Homecoming Shirts!! Juniors--All Homecoming shirt orders and money are due to Mindy on Thursday, 9/28.
Reminder: Any students involved in 5th-12th grade choir and/or band need to have their fundraiser slip returned to Mr. Meyer before they can receive their chocolate on Friday.

Just a reminder that if a student is wanting to use the Community Fitness Center they have to be accompanied by an Adult or Coach. Those ages 12-17 MUST have an adult with them. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed in the fitness center.
Student Health Forms will be coming home today. These forms are needed to be kept on file in the nurses office for each student and is very important they are returned as soon as possible. The class that returns them the fastest will get a class surprise.
