8th graders finished up their quarter exploratory ag class by building birdhouses and making chicken wings this week.



Check out the October Family Projects of Mrs. Boggs’ second graders. They disguised their pumpkins so well!


The Crewses traded rosters this week for a classroom switch! Accounting students looked at Economic Principles in the Ag Room with hands on activities including a soft drink auction. Food Science students made bread, pickles and jam to learn about fermentation and preservation.

The first elementary music performance is fast approaching and the students are very excited. Please join us in the high school gym next Tuesday October 22nd at 6:30 pm for the kindergarten - third grade music program. We will be showcasing fun new songs from our new curriculum.

There will be a theater club (STAC) meeting tomorrow afternoon in Mr. Meyer's room from 3:00 to 3:30 pm.

On this day in 1969, women were permitted to join the FFA - 41 years after the organization was formed. 50 years later, Slater FFA still has something to be proud of with these young ladies helping to lead the way and carry on tradition!
