Last week the 7th Grade class took a field trip to Kansas City to visit the National World War I Museum. They had a great day of learning about the past!

FTA Members: Our monthly event has been postponed to October 14. Also, please turn in your permission slips for the event at UCM to Mindy by 3:00 on Friday, October 3. If you have not picked yours up it is in the folder outside of my office. She also has extra copies in the HS office.
There will be a parent/student meeting for students who are eligible for senior trip on Thursday October 9th at 5:00 PM in the cafeteria. This will be an informative meeting about deadlines and details of the trip. If you are unable to make it to the meeting please reach out to Mrs. Bayne or Mrs. Key to get the information that you need.
Reminder: There is a HS Student Council executive meeting at 7:20 in the morning in Ms. Key's room.
The 10/2 softball game versus Hale has been canceled. Hale does not have a team this year.

Today, Slater HS reported a potential threat on campus to the Saline County Sheriff's office, who responded on scene and investigated the matter. Saline County Sheriff's Office has taken over the investigation. Campus is secure.
