The Third Grade Art Class traced their hands and made them unique just like each of them. This was their I have a Dream project. Showing we are all different but that is what makes each one of us special and we need to work together.

In Art, Mrs Meyer’s First Grade Class traced their hands and used any color they wanted to make their hands and or decorate them. We talked about how everyone is different and that is what makes each one of us special. This was their I Have A Dream project.

Only one more day to register Slater K-5 kiddos for “Parent’s Night Out” hosted by FTA! Registration closes at 3:15pm on Wednesday, February 1.

Special Board Meeting on Thursday 2/2 has been moved to 5pm.

Sixth Grade Art Class made clouds based off Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have A Dream” They had three clouds each to do.
One states My Dream for myself is …
Second one My Dream for my Community is…
And the third My Dream for the World is…
I was focusing more on their own thoughts and wanting them to think about what is going on in the world around them.

Mrs. Falls Second Grade class learned about Dale Chihuly and did pieces to resemble his glass art pieces. They did an amazing job on these and I am so proud of all of them! I found the project from Kirsten Brunner video.

On Monday, January 30, immediately after school, there will be a short football meeting for any 5th grade thru 11th grade students interested in playing school football next season. Meet in Coach Falls' room.
FTA is hosting "Parent's Night Out" on Friday, February 3 for K-5 students. Be sure to get signed up by Wednesday, February 1 to be able to attend this FUN event!

Slater Schools will have a late start tomorrow, Wednesday 1/25. Doors will open at 9:40 am & classes will begin at 10:00 am. JH & HS students will report to 3rd hour.
SCCC students will not travel to Marshall tomorrow & will report to SHS at 10:45.
