Fifth Grade Art Class worked really hard on these Watercolor Styrofoam prints. They learned there are processes and patience with printing making. We learned that sometimes there are mistakes and we learn from them to improve the next time. I think they did great!!! A few are still finishing up. They were so creative with their designs!!! 🤩










K-4 kiddos signed up for "Parent's Night Out" tonight is the night! The library/circle drive doors will open at 5:30 for drop off and again at 8:00 for pick-up. Students MUST be signed in and out by someone listed on the registration form.
My Third Grade Artists worked on self portraits with "bubblegum bubbles" in their mouths! They had so much fun making these! I think they did Great on them! Thanks for sending the idea on to us Ms Wiseman 😃










4th Grade Art Class learned a little about Georgia O'Keefe and has made their own oil pastel flowers 🌸
I love seeing what their creative minds come up with.

National Honor Society held its Spring Social and New Member Induction this evening in the Gym. Congratulations to our Seniors, new officer team and Spring inductees!




Tuesday brought the first round of District FFA Contest for Slater! Teams are working hard as they look towards State competition in April. Congratulations to all! Leadership teams and contestants head to the second round of contests on Thursday!




We will have taco bar again tomorrow! However, we will not be refilling the components. Once they are gone they are gone.
"Parent's Night Out" registration forms and money are due today by 3:00 for the Friday, March 31 event! It's going to be a fun night for kindergarten-4th grade students!

Seniors! Don't forget to fill out the 2023 Parker Hannifin Scholarship to be awarded to an SHS graduate in May! Application due April 15.

3rd grade celebrated Fun Friday with playing sight word memory!

The Sixth Graders are Rocking their Art projects they have been working on! This is just a sneak peek at some of the process and some that are getting closer to getting finished! I missed getting a picture of one table at work. I am so excited to see all of these finished! They are making Watercolor Glue Relief Paintings. Got the idea from The Cozy Art Teacher.

Freshman class of 2026, if you had an order for beef sticks we will be in Mrs. Bayne's classroom from 6-6:45 this evening-March 22 if you would like to come pick up your order. If you come tonight, come to the outside library door. If not please come to Mrs. Bayne's room first thing in the morning to get your orders. You may need to bring something to carry your items in.
FTA is hosting our LAST "Parent's Night Out" of the school year on Friday, March 31! Students in kindergarten thru 4th grade are invited to attend. We'll have pizza, bingo, games, prizes, and more! Registration forms & payments are due by Wednesday, March 29!

Last night's Area FFA Contest was a busy one!
- Kendall Guthrie and Nevaeh Evans placed 3rd in Division I Speaking and FFA Creed, respectively, both advancing to Districts!
- The FFA Knowledge Team advances to Districts as Area WINNERS! RJ Pannell was Top Individual in the contest.
- Keyton Meyer was recognized as the Area VI Star Agribusinessman and will compete at State in April!
- Wylee Goff retired his Area Office, installing Kenna Lemmon as the next Area Chaplain.
- Brooklyn Nei, Lauryn Scheid and Lauryn Pycke competed in Division II Public Speaking.
