2nd grade had a wonderful Walking Field Trip today! We made stops at Exchange Bank, Slater Post Office, Slater Fire Department, Veterans Park, and Slater Nutrition. A big "thank you" to the businesses for welcoming us and sharing what they do for our community.

The Arrow Rock DAR Chapter recognized Kerrigan Page as one of their essay winners at a reception held today at J Huston Tavern. Congratulations to Kerrigan for writing an amazing essay!
Junior Class: We will meet this Tuesday April 18th, Wednesday April 19th and Thursday April 20th at 4:00 in the High School gym to decorate for prom. Please also plan to meet Sunday April 23rd at 12:00 for prom cleanup. This is your last opportunity to earn points for the 22-23 school year.

Reminder: The Spring Fine Arts Night is this evening in the high school gym starting at 6:00pm. This will consist of musical performances from the Slater Music Department (k-12 general music and choir and 5-12 band) and an art showcase in the high school hallway from the art department. Please join us for a wonderful evening of music and artwork at our Spring Fine Arts Night. The event is on Monday, April 17th, at 6pm in the high school gym. Students who are in band need to report to the band room at 5:30. Elementary students need to report to their teachers in the gym at 5:45 and 5th-12th choir students report to the bleachers on the far side of the gym at 5:45 also.
Slater SCCC students will not travel to the Career Center this Friday, April 14.
Eighth Grade field trip slips and money are due tomorrow, April 12. Please turn them into the elementary office.
With a tremendous amount of respect for Paul Crews and the impact he has had on our school and this community, Slater Schools will not be in session Friday, April 14, 2023. This will provide all those wishing to attend services the opportunity to pay their respects.
With adequate days available on our calendar due to the limited amount used for snow days this will not impact the scheduled last day of school.
