Kindergarteners explored new options for STEM Station rotations in the library.

Thursday's Varsity Softball game vs. Norborne/Hardin-Central @Norborne will start at 5:30. Bus will leave at 3:30. Go, Lady Cats!

The SHS Ag Science I class hosted guest speaker, Ms. Bonita Butner on Friday, who spoke about the Dalton Vocational School. Her late mother, Ida was a student at the school alongside others in the Slater and Gilliam area. Dalton VS was one of 4 schools in the state to once have a New Farmers of America Chapter. NFA was established in 1935 for African American youth to promote agricultural leadership and citizenship, merging with FFA in 1965. A big thank you goes out to Ms. Butner for her annual visit during the FFA History unit!

Menu Change
Due to a mix up with our delivery. Tomorrow's breakfast will be Apple frudel, fruit, Fruit juice and milk. Friday's breakfast will be French toast stick, fruit, fruit juice, and milk.

The 7th grade students worked on team building skills during PE today by competing in the "human centipede" challenge. They had to work together to move the mat from one end of the gym to the other without using their hands or letting it hit the ground. Great team work!


Class of 2026 we will meet at 730 am on Tuesday, September 10th in Mrs. Bayne's room. If you cannot make it please let us know as soon as possible. We have lots to discuss so the meeting will start promptly at 730.
5th Grade Band Parents, tonight is instrument rental night! I will be in the band room by 4:30 for those who need to come before football practice. Otherwise, I will see you at 5pm in the Band room! Please come to the band room door next to the gym double doors, closest to the Fitness Center. See you there.
Tonight's softball game against New Franklin is moved to Marshall High School, First pitch still at 5pm, JV game will follow. There will be no concessions.
