Find updated applications on the Counseling website throughout the semester, noting deadlines and materials needed along the way. Reminder for Saline County Career Center (SCCC) students: You will not travel to SCCC until Wednesday, 1/8/25. The van leaves at 7:15 am that morning. Until then, SCCC student report time at Slater is 10:45 am. Enter via the West breezeway or Ms. Mindy's door.

Financial Aid Flashback! Last Monday was SHS FAFSA Frenzy Night where we were joined by CMU representatives Tara Davis and Dawson Yung. A big THANK YOU to both for their expertise on filling out this year's application! If you haven't submitted your FAFSA yet, there's still time - the earlier the better!!

Mr. Jenkins, Mr. Falls, & Ms. Bowling took HS PE classes to MU Gymnastics Black & Gold meet on Wednesday. Students watched a new event, met Truman the Tiger, & had a great time! MIZ/SLA!

The SHS Boys Basketball team had a great time at their Christmas party today! Next game: 1/3/25 @Smithton

Tomorrow we will dismiss school at 12:10 pm to begin our holiday break. Students will resume classes on January 3, 2025. Happy Holidays! 🎄
December Life Academy today was all about Home Economics! Students took part in 8 rotations covering a range of unit topics where they:
- Sewed on a button
- Made cookies from scratch
- Propagated plants and named common gardening tools
- Identified kitchen gadgets/discussing kitchen safety
- Reviewed home interior design trends
- Diapered and swaddled a baby
- Grocery shopped with a budget while meal planning
- Laundered towels and clothing items
A big THANK YOU to our HS staff and Ms. Kathryn Jones for leading these hands on sessions this morning!
