Fall Sports are right around the corner! (August 2-10 is MSHSAA's designated 'No Contact Week'.)
HS Fall Sports practices start on August 11, and JH Fall practices start on August 18.
All athletes & marching band students must have the following prior to those dates:
- Valid MSHSAA physical
- Completed TeacherEase registration, including MSHSAA Pre-participation form

Fitzgibbon Hospital will be at the Slater Schools Library from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Monday, July 28 to provide FREE sports physicals to JH & HS athletes.
Physicals are good for two years. All athletes & marching band participants must have a physical on file.

TODAY is the day! Help us wish the State-Bound SHS Track athletes off to Jefferson City this morning at 10:25! We'll see you on Morgan Street!


Parents are welcome to attend Slater HS's End of Year Awards this Friday, May 16 in the Cafeteria. The program will start at 8:00 am and will include Track Team recognition.

Ms. Sample's 2nd Hour Physical Science Class brought learning to life today for 3rd - 5th graders when they performed the IMPLODING BARREL EXPERIMENT to demonstrate the power of atmospheric pressure. Great job, Wildcats! (Video on Facebook)





SENIORS - remember to bring your Chromebook & charger to school tomorrow! CTS will check them during the Pop Assembly/send off, then you can get them after school. Drop them off in the cafeteria at 12:10 - make sure your name is on both of them! J Clem will leave tape out to use.


We are looking for volunteers with golf carts willing to shuttle Graduation Commencement attendees from (& back to) their car to the football field on Friday, May 9. Shuttling services would start at 6:00 pm and would conclude 30 minutes after the end of the ceremony.

Seniors & their Adults -
Graduation photos are Thursday morning!
Here's our plan:
7:50 am - Students Arrive - wear caps, gowns, cords
8:00 am - Group shot on front stairs (Circle Drive)
8:10 am - Individual pictures with BOE President
9:15 am - Wildcat Walk
Purchasing information is in the photo - if you wish to purchase a photo of the Class as a Group, it's $5 for a 5x7 or $10 for an 8x10.


Tonight's baseball game vs. New Franklin & Senior Recognition have been moved to Marshall HS's turf field.
Senior Recognition will begin at 5:45 (parents, please report to the bullpen beside the home dugout at 5:35) with the first pitch at 6:30.


This Thursday, April 3 will be an Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) day to allow staff and students to attend SHS teacher Brenda Heilman's visitation & funeral services.
Mrs. Heilman's visitation begins at 10:00 and funeral services will take place at 11:30 am on Thursday, April 3 at Campbell-Lewis in Marshall. https://www.campbell-lewis.com/obituary/brenda-heilman
