The the return to MARCH MADNESS starts TOMORROW!. All PreK-5th grade students will be participating in this reading challenge. Each student will receive a reading log each week to record how many minutes they read. These need to be returned to their teacher each Monday. ALL reading counts! Audiobooks, Kindle, graphic novels, newspapers, magazines, cereal boxes. If you play the alphabet game in the car using billboards, record those minutes. The class that acquires the most minutes will receive a celebration with Ms. Pointer, the librarian. (This week's reading log is hot pink. Please return on March 11th.)

In compliance with the new law regarding lead in water sources at or above 5 parts per billion (ppb), Slater Schools tested 92 water sources throughout our buildings. All 9 of the water sources that came back above the acceptable level are being remediated or capped off. Most are seldom used sinks or water spigots that need a key to open. For the full report and more information visit our website and click on the District Information tab and choose Drinking water sampling and analysis plan.
