FYI....State Fair Community College’s Academic Success Center will offer a two-day ACT Prep Workshop from 9:30-11:30 a.m. July 12 and 13 for only $25. Students will receive an SFCC T-shirt, three-ring binder and handouts! The workshop will be in the Yeater Learning Center on the Sedalia campus; Kathy Wissman, instructional resource technician, is the instructor. To register, students can go to https://www.sfccmo.edu/event/act-prep-workshop-2/ to complete the form and then make payment to the SFCC Business office by phone or in person. The workshop is limited to 40 participants, and registration deadline is June 26.

Her books focus on minor lives in war-torn or marginal places, women’s life-writing, and the legacy of violence across generations and national borders. Šukys is a professor of Creative Nonfiction at the University of Missouri. Her reading was part of The Visiting Writers Series at Missouri Valley College.
